Nicole explores themes as mental health, empathy and identity in her art. For Nicole, art is not only a means of personal expression but also a tool for activism. She believes art has the power to inspire change, challenge systems, and amplify voices. With her paintings she channels her thoughts and emotions into visual images. By using a combination of vibrant, bold colours and goldleaf she creates works that are both visually striking and thought provoking.
Next to her creative pursuits she is also experienced in setting up and managing projects like events, shops, and websites. Nicole would love to help make interesting projects into a succes.
Nicole Volbeda graduated from ECA Scotland with a MA in Arts and has worked +15 years as an illustrator in Utrecht.
